Expertise
ACSOR is an all-Afghan company. The continuous recruitment and training of an indigenous team of Afghan professionals is integral to the activities of ACSOR Surveys. To this end, ACSOR has a well-developed internal training program brought to ACSOR by D3 and BBSS. The training program has components for all levels of employees from interviewers and data entry staff to account executives. Training is reinforced by quality control feedback loops which constantly reiterate methdological principles. A dedicated Quality Control staff ensures this process. Because all 200 of ACSOR's employees work full-time on surveys, the work itself also constantly reinforces the methdological and ethical standards and principles of the company.

ACSOR is also invested in the development of advanced research expertise and talent. Learning opportunities have been provided to various existing staff including web-based marketing research courses for Western university credit, in-house educational programs on aspects of data collection and processing operations and English and study tours to professional research conferences in a variety of other countries. Generous support from the Asia Foundation has made some of this effort possible.

Increasing the research capabilities of Afghans outside the company is also critical to ACSOR and Afghanistan's future success. ACSOR has partnered with the National Center for Policy Research (NCPR) at Kabul University, funded by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, to provide internships and training taught by ACSOR Afghan staff in qualitative and quantitative techniques to the next generation of Afghan researchers and ACSOR employees.
